Raised in a convent, married to a man who cannot touch her, a young Sicilian noblewoman is torn between her puritanical upbringing and her awakening flesh. Time and time again, her mouth says no but her body says yes: if only for the chuckles of these comical episodes (which are punctuated by a rousing music), the film is well worth watching. A skilfully-directed farce that is aging surprisingly well.
