Bill Burr: Walk Your Way Out 2017 | USA | Laughs: 5.8 | imdb: 7.1
While this show had some laughs and I'd still recommend watching it, the two of us found it much inferior to Bill's previous set, I'm Sorry You Feel That Way. To start with, for some reason Bill seemed to be yelling for the whole set, which was hard on the ear. That Bill was a bit out of touch with the audience is understandable (the show was taped in Memphis), but some weaker bits seemed to go on for too long. In other words, he seemed to be a tad out of touch with delivery and his own sense of what makes people laugh, critical talents in a stand-up comedian. I hope this is only a rough patch and that Bill bounces back with a spectacular show. At the moment, he seems to need a break from the comedy circuit, and I certainly wish him that—a relaxing sabbatical to recharge his creative juices.
